And technology is key, as the health system's new Consumer Data Hub provides a secure 360-degree view of the patient, while its new Enterprise Data Fabric unifies diverse data sources – offering immediate access and enabling advanced AI-powered analytics.

"We want to support our clinicians so they can sustainably serve our patients," says the health system's CHIO, who sees big potential for the EHR-linked generative AI tool to reduce administrative burden and alleviate burnout.

There are limitations to current large language models for coding and identifying clinical quality measures, says Dr. Jay Anders, CMO at Medicomp Systems, who discusses the need for further model training and clinical vigilance to avoid errors.
