The health system is piloting new tools to streamline workflows, such an ambient listening during patient exams, says Albert Marinez, its chief analytics officer. He describes some lessons learned during early-stage implementation.  

"The intersection of public health and artificial intelligence represents a transformation in healthcare," says one epidemiologist, who sees the chance to greatly improve disease prevention and management, and promote health and wellness.

With guidelines and rules for healthcare AI coming from the FDA, ONC, OCR, the White House and others, how will this regulatory framework change in 2024? Bryant Godfrey, partner at Foley Hoag, offers some thoughts.
