One notable success at the behavioral healthcare organization has been a 35% increase in team members' use of evidence-based techniques since implementing the technology.

The EMR system will first go live at Hunter New England LHD.

The former employee's access to patient data and health information was outside the scope of their job functions and was without a reasonable basis, the health plan says.

The new partnership, focused on social determinants of health, aims to create a statewide mechanism for sharing data referrals, interventions and outcomes among providers and social care agencies.

The move will make it "simpler for our IT and developers, and will allow them to focus more on uncovering creative ways to improve patient care," said the health system's chief digital information officer.

Clinicians in the region will have secure access to radiology and diagnostic images through the Malaffi HIE platform. 

The rates are holding steady at 34% since 2021, but the percentage of clinicians citing a chaotic work environment has stayed at 28% over the last five years.

The state HIE joins other members in pursuing voluntary TEFCA participation as a Qualified Health Information Network to expand data connectivity and interoperability.
