On Tuesday, Microsoft announced partnerships with Booz Allen Hamilton and IBM to offer Surface tablets to hospitals.

Booz Allen Vice President of Strategic Alliances Walton Smith said in a statement that the goal of their partnership is to create tools based on Surface Pro tablets and new Windows 10 security features.

“Our partnership with Microsoft will give clients access to solutions built with the portable Surface devices and with Windows 10,” Smith added.

Booz Allen pointed to such challenges as app compatibility, security, confidentiality and managing multiple credentials as examples.

The software giant also enhanced its pricing model with Surface-as-a-Service to include subscriptions for Surface hardware and Office 365, as well as Windows 10 Enterprise E3 for Cloud Service Providers.

IBM, for its part, will also serve as a systems integrator for Surface tablets and software, including building custom applications for healthcare organizations and others.
