HERI seeks proposals that advance market-based reforms

By Molly Merrill , Associate Editor

The Health Economics Research Institute is looking for research proposals that advance market-based reforms to improve the healthcare delivery system.

"We are interested in identifying projects that demonstrate market-based solutions to healthcare reform, such as developing/testing new models to improve access to care, exploring innovative system changes needed to improve care and building coalitions to support/advance improved healthcare access," said Lee Stillwell, HERI's chairman. "We are particularly interested in projects that explore the numerous issues involved with successful implementation and use of digital health data to improve patient care and system efficiency."

Projects that HERI is looking to support may include, but will not be limited to:

  • Finding better ways to organize/finance the healthcare delivery system to improve access;
  • Examining needed policy changes;
  • Developing/testing new models to improve access to care;
  • Exploring innovative system changes needed to improve care; and
  • Building coalitions to support/advance improved healthcare access.

HERI will be responsible for securing funding support for the selected projects.
