If there’s one topic in healthcare that probably ought to be a moving target, it’s mHealth. It is, after all, “mobile.”
But healthcare stakeholders who are looking to understand what mHealth can do for their organizations would probably like to find the information they need all in one place. Which is where the mHealth knowledge center at the 2014 HIMSS Annual Conference & Exhibition comes in.
According to David Collins, senior director of mHIMSS, “the center will be one-stop shopping for mobile.” Among the offerings available will be the following presentations by an array of subject matter experts:
On Tuesday, Feb. 25th, from 10:00 - 10:30 a.m, Ali Youssef and Douglas McDonald, senior solutions architect and wireless manager, respectively, with the Henry Ford Health System will speak about “Are you ready for Wi-Fi and mHealth? The good, the bad, and the ugly.”
In the afternoon, from 1:00 - 1:30 p.m., David Metcalf, program director at the Institute for Simulation and Training, will give a presentation entitled “mHealth and 3D Technology on a Rapid Convergence Path,” while Dr. David Scher will give an overview of the Version 2 of the mHIMSS Roadmap from 2:30 - 3:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, Feb. 26th, from 10:00 - 10:30 a.m., Jennifer Horowitz, senior director, market research, HIMSS Analytics, will share the results of the 3rd Annual HIMSS Analytics/mHIMSS Mobile Survey. From 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Jack Walsh and Vinny Sakore of ICSA Labs will discuss “Why and How to Test Your Healthcare-Related Mobile Apps.”
