Dell has signed on as an industry collaborator of HIMSS Innovation Center, joining other major health IT players at the 30,000-square-foot testing and exhibition facility in Cleveland.

Dell will showcase its healthcare technology solutions with an interactive display that asks visitors, "Is your organization future ready?"

The PC giant’s healthcare mission is to empower data to transform healthcare with effective population health and personalized precision medicine. HIMSS Executive Vice President Carla Smith said in a prepared statement that Dell’s “contributions to creating value for health IT make it an outstanding partner,” for the HIMSS Innovation Center.

The HIMSS Innovation Center opened two years ago as a showcase for health IT solutions that can integrate together and operate in concert with other emerging technologies to enable better care. It is designed to help visitors through education initiatives and collaborator products and services. The site is next to the Global Center for Health Innovation.

This week the IHE North American Connectathon is taking place at both the HIMSS Innovation Center and the Cleveland Center. The Connectathon brings together about 500 software engineers and developers to focus on data interoperability and also includes educational sessions and networking events.
