Chicago-based home healthcare company launches new IT solution

U.S Home Health Care, a Chicago-based provider of home healthcare services, has launched a new solution designed to help streamline referral orders and other workflows.

Inscrybe, developed by Berkeley Heights, N.J.-based Authentidate, is designed to allow information exchange between healthcare organizations. The solution allows patient health data to be shared between practices and referred physicians and facilitates the sharing of authorization documents for the use of medical equipment for patient care.

We want to reduce the amount of time and effort it takes to complete care orders for our staff and our referring physicians,” said Maria Thanugundla, the company’s general manager. “Set-up and orientation was so fast and easy that we were able to process our first care orders within minutes of the training.”

U.S Home Health Care officials said they’ll use this platform to improve manual workflows and cut patient costs by reducing approval cycle time with referring physicians. The healthcare provider also looks to increase revenue by streamlining other workflows to improve efficiency of clinical and administrative processes.

Officials said physicians are now able to review and sign documentation electronically and can send data or other documents via fax.
