Donald Trump delivered a speech in Detroit on Monday focusing on his plan to reform the tax system and boost the economy wherein he reiterated the promise to repeal the Affordable Care Act and improve care for military veterans.

“One of my first acts as President will be to repeal and replace disastrous Obamacare, saving another 2 million American jobs,” the Republican nominee for U.S. President said.

Trump neither explained how repealing the ACA would save jobs nor shed any light on what he intends to replace President Barack Obama’s health reform law with should it, in fact, be repealed.

This being a speech about tax reform and the economy, he also highlighted a plan to institute across-the-board tax cuts for the middle class, saying “this will lead to millions of good-paying jobs.”

Trump also said he would simplify the tax code, reduce the existing number of brackets from seven down to three, promised that no American company would pay more than 15 percent of their business income in taxes, and eliminate the death tax, among others.

In addition to repealing Obamacare, Trump mentioned other plans to save jobs, including enforcing intellectual property rules against other countries, notably China, claiming that could produce more than 2 million jobs and contribute to bringing “trillions of dollars in wealth and wages,” back to America.

And Trump touched on plans to reform childcare, energy, federal regulations, trade, rebuilding the military, and improving healthcare for veterans.

“We have a plan for a complete reform of the Veterans Health Administration,” Trump said. “This is something so desperately needed to make sure our vets are fully supported and get the care they deserve.”

Much like repealing the Affordable Care Act and some of the other reforms, Trump did not provide much in the way of detail on improving the VHA — saying, instead, that he would share more details about those in the near future.

Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has an economic speech planned for Thursday and political commentators are expecting her to strike back at Trump then, if not before.
