Tandigm taps athenahealth population health services for its physician network

The joint venture of Independence Blue Cross and DaVita HealthCare Partners said it will offer doctors access to athenahealth’s cloud services for analytics, care coordination, risk-stratification.

Tandigm Health, a Pennsylvania-based healthcare business that provides technology and services to doctors, has tapped athenahealth for population health management and cloud services.

Tandigm, a joint venture between affiliates of Independence Blue Cross and DaVita HealthCare Partners, selected athenahealth Population Health for its network of primary care physicians. athenahealth’s network-enabled service will coordinate care on a common platform for the patients in the Tandigm network and increase visibility to help the care team address patient needs and boost quality outcomes, according to Tandigm CEO Anthony Coletta, MD.

“One of our primary goals is to provide physicians with the advanced resources needed to enhance their ability to deliver the finest possible care,” Coletta said in a statement.

Athenahealth’s population health management cloud-based technology would help Tandigm network physicians provide better and more coordinated care for their patients, he added.

Tandigm will deploy athenahealth Population Health for care management as well as analytics, risk stratification, and quality management.
