R. Andrew Eckert is stepping down as CEO of Eclipsys and will be replaced by Philip M. Pead, who will work with Eckert during a transition period before taking over Eclipsys. Jim Stalder has joined The Beryl Companies as its new chief information officer. Advanced Plan for Health has promoted the following professionals to managing directors:  Chris Andrews as managing director-Information Systems and Data Management; Matt Cheatham as managing consultant for Information Systems and Data Management; Taylor Godbey as managing director-Client Services; Jason Kemmer as managing director-Operations and Joy McGee-Cory as managing director-Consulting Services. Medfusion has made Bill Loconzolo chief technology officer. Devicor Medical Products, LLC, has named Jonathan Salkin to serve as executive vice president, Corporate Development and Strategy. Casenet, Inc., a provider of innovative care management software solutions, has appointed Bill Wisotzkey vice president of product management and design. iMedica Corporation has appointed Raymond J. Fabius to its board of directors. Navicure has appointed Ken Bradley, a co-founder and member of its leadership team, to spearhead strategic planning. Medsphere Systems Corporation has appointed Irv Lichtenwald as chief financial officer and newest member of its executive team. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius has named the final members of the Health IT policy committee established under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act: Michael J. Klag, MD, dean of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; Deven C. McGraw,  Health Privacy Project, Center for Democracy & Technology.  David Blumenthal, MD, national coordinator for health IT, will serve as chair. The American College of Physicians (ACP) has named Christine Laine, MD, as editor of its flagship journal, Annals of Internal Medicine. Laine succeeds Harold C. Sox, MD, who will retire in July. Humana Inc. has elected William E. Mitchell to the company’s board of directors. Dave Barry has joined Netcordia as vice president of Business Development. Conifer Revenue Cycle Solutions, Inc. has named Mike Thatcher as vice president, Business Development. Thatcher will serve as a member of the company’s executive leadership team and will be responsible for leading its sales and marketing departments. Prematics Inc. has chosen S. Michael Ross, MD, to serve as its chief medical officer and senior vice president of business development.
