HIMSS14 will host a variety of events, education sessions and networking opportunities that will help attendees focus on achieving compliance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ EHR Incentive Program.
Sessions kick off with a pre-conference workshop Meeting the Challenges of Meaningful Use in My Practice on Sunday, Feb. 23. Presented by Henry L. Mayers, the session will provide real-world, practitioner experiences in satisfying meaningful use and how to apply that knowledge to move forward to Stage 2 and consider where we'll likely be in Stage 3. The scope of this workshop also includes the wisdom and resources needed to successfully navigate the meaningful use audit.
General, poster and on-demand education sessions will be held throughout the week, concerning all aspects of meaningful use, including data management, auditing, patient engagement, standards and much more.
If meaningful use is an education objective for you at HIMSS14, be sure not to miss our keynote speakers on Thursday, Feb. 27, which includes Newly-appointed National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, Karen DeSalvo, MD, and Marilyn Tavenner, administrator, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
