Health Partners Plans appoints new VP of IT

Anthony Marino will supervise infrastructure and initiatives and provide vendor oversight.

Veteran IT management executive Anthony Marino has been named Vice President, IT Infrastructure and Operations at Health Partners Plans in Philadelphia. Health Partners Plans is among the top 15 Medicaid plans in the country.

In his new role, Marino oversees the delivery of all externally and internally managed IT infrastructure used to support business processes across HPP. He is responsible for vendor oversight, fiscal responsibility of company-wide IT initiatives and operational and service management processes that align with quality, efficiency and agility goals.

Marino brings 30 years of experience to this position, including 13 years managing technology operations at HPP. He joined HPP in 2003.

Marino will report to Senior Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer Joseph Brand.

“Anthony’s expertise has been an integral part of the successful implementation of many complex infrastructure technologies at HPP,” Brand noted. “In the ever-changing world of technology, his knowledge will help our company continue to evolve and emerge as a technology leader, a crucial component to delivering an excellent member experience.”

Prior to joining HPP, Marino served as Senior Network/Systems Architect for Network Technologies Group, Inc., where he specialized in network access, security and VPN solutions.
