The University Health Alliance (UHA), the third-largest commercial health insurer in Hawaii, is rolling out a revenue cycle management solution to provide electronic connectivity for claims and electronic remittance advice (ERA) for its providers. UHA will use technology from Santa Ana, Calif.-based Capario to provide greater direct connectivity for its 150 providers in Hawaii. Officials say the technology will reduce operating costs for both UHA and providers. “We will be able to electronically connect with their providers, which will help us operate more efficiently and enable the practices to receive payments more quickly,” said Max Botticelli, CEO of UHA.
