Catholic Health East headquartered in Newtown Square, Pa. will deploy evidence-based clinical decision support order sets at its 18 hospitals.
The health system tapped Los Angeles-based Zynx Health for its ZynxOrder and ZynxCare. Catholic Health East’s goal is to improve patient care and demonstrate meaningful use of its electronic health record systems.
CHE established an Advancing Clinical Transformation (ACT) initiative to drive excellence in quality and patient safety outcomes across the care continuum. Zynx Health technology will integrate with CHE’s MEDITECH and Siemens electronic health record systems.
“Our goal was to identify a content provider that had extensive knowledge for both nursing and medicine and could easily integrate with our current EMR system,” said Donette Herring, vice president and CIO for Catholic Health East. “ZynxOrder and ZynxCare will advance person-centered, evidence-based care in CHE through computerized provider order entry (CPOE) and clinical documentation,” said Daniel Feinberg, MD, vice president of clinical excellence for CHE.
