Allscripts Healthcare and Hospital IQ have entered into a strategic partnership to make Hospital IQ’s predictive analytics platform available to Allscripts Sunrise and Allscripts EPSi provider organization clients.

The cloud-based predictive analytics platform is designed to help hospitals optimize efficiency through data-driven performance improvement, Allscripts explained. The platform can enable hospitals to align resources – such as staff, operating rooms and inpatient beds – with actual and predicted patient flow, the company added.

“Hospitals are under immense financial and logistical pressure,” Allscripts President Rick Poulton said. “By integrating Hospital IQ’s solutions, our clients can leverage their investments in other technology platforms to improve operational efficiency and thrive in this environment. EPSi customers will have the capability to achieve enterprise-level financial objectives by integrating operational planning tools into the strategic budgeting process.”

The partnership with Allscripts will enable Hospital IQ to fulfill its mission of helping providers deliver a higher quality of care at a lower cost by deploying Hospital IQ technology to more institutions, faster, Hospital IQ CEO Rich Krueger said.
